We place your WordPress website on one of our Linode high performance SSD Linux cloud servers in London or Frankfurt. These servers run the latest versions of Ubuntu 20.04 LTS with Apache 2.4 or NGINX 1.18 and are regularly updated and continually monitored for availability, security and performance. We deploy Docker containers to ensure complete isolation of each website as a managed entity.
We protect your data with TLS (SSL) certificates. We use Let’s Encrypt, a free, automated, and open Certificate Authority providing TLS certificates to 225 million websites. Unlike many other hosting companies we do not make an additional charge for this service.
Our servers are automatically backed up on a rotating basis. As an additional measure all site data, including configuration and media files, and databases are incrementally backed up to our Backblaze B2 cloud storage located in Amsterdam. We regularly test physical recovery of all backup data for your peace of mind.
We monitor every website to check that each is running 24/7 and serving up pages correctly. Our monitoring toolkit includes the Uptime Robot web service, the world’s leading uptime monitoring service. We respond proactively to any problems identified, typically in advance of a client being aware of any issue.
One of the many reasons to choose WordPress is the huge range of themes available to help design your website in the manner best suited for your business. Themes are customised and adapted to meet your personal needs. We recommend the built-in Twentytwentyone theme, or the excellent Customizr, both perfectly designed for all digital platforms, whether mobile, tablet or desktop.
If you already use the market-leading email marketing platform, Mailchimp, we can connect your website forms to your subscriber lists. If you wish to conduct email marketing we can offer expertise in Mailchimp audience management, email template design and automation.
Adding an online shop to your website is an obvious next step with WordPress. We work with Woocommerce, the most popular ecommerce platform on the web. It’s a simple matter to post up your services or products, whether shipped or downloadable, and to showcase your online shop with easy-to-use cart and checkout. We get you started and give advice on the way.
Getting paid online is not the simplest thing to set up. We can advise, help and guide you to get started with a PayPal business account and either Stripe or Braintree online payment platforms. We can also assist with international direct debit payments via GoCardless. We link your website to these payment processors enabling you to accept secure payments for your products or services with either PayPal, debit or credit cards.
Manage your subscriptions and membership lists direct on your website. Offer access to restricted content and other member benefits. Automate membership renewals and sync membership lists with your email communications platform. We recommend the Woocommerce Membership and Subscription plugins that simplify your administrative headaches.
Placing an event calendar on your website shows your audience just what you’re up to and invites them to attend and participate. We recommend the Event Calendar plugin that integrates perfectly with the rest of your site. Additionally with Event Tickets Plus your clients can purchase tickets to your events using the Woocommerce shopping cart and payment processing options described here.
